[Avignon, cour d’honneur et champs de bataille]

In 1947, just years after WWII came to and end, Theatre Director Jean VILAR founded the Festival d’Avignon. Artists, such as the great Peter BROOK, Le Theatre du Soleil, Pina BAUSCH, and many others, have left their mark in this “holy land” which to this day possesses the spirit of its foundation as an “experimental room for artistic creation”. This piece is a valuable documentary revolving around the 60 years since the festivals beginning.
